Shadow Dragon (2008)
A remake of the Japan-only Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and features updated graphics, gameplay mechanics, additional background music, several new characters, items, and plot devices.
Long ago, Shadow Dragon Medeus, king of the dragonkin, conquered the continent of Archanea, giving rise to an age of fear and despair for its people. However a young man from Altea named Arni intervened using Falchion, the Blade of Light. Fang of dragon and blade of light locked in battle; and in the end, blade prevailed. The land enjoyed an age of peace. The continent of Archanea contains 7 independent kingdoms (Archanea, Altea, Aurelis, Macedon, Talys, Gra, and Grust). Other kingdoms include: Dolhr, Khadein, etc.
After a century’s passing, Medeus has returned and forges an alliance with the Dolhr empire and the Dark Sorcerer Gharnef and begins invading other kingdoms in an event known as the War of Shadows. Cain, the current king of Altea and successor of Anri, leaves to battle Medeus, leaving his only son Prince Marth in Altea with Altea’s neighbor and ally Gra. However Gra betrays Altea and sides with Medeus. Cain is killed in battle and Marth is forced to flee Altea with his guards including Sir Jagen and Cain. His sister Princess Elice elects to stay with the people of Altea.
Marth takes refuge in the eastern isle of Talys, a small border kingdom, who is allied with Altea. Marth vows to one day return to Altea and free his homeland and her people. Very shortly thereafter, Archanea is defeated by Grust's General Camus, and, aside from Princess Nyna, the royal family is wiped out.
Years later, Marth rallies an army at Talys to defeat Medeus. Starting with Princess Caeda, Taly’s princess, Marth gathers together many allies. Upon reaching the kingdom of Aurelis (ally of the kingdom of Archanea whose Princess Nyna had arrived in Aurelis to help), Marth discovers that Archanea is being attacked by Macedon (allied with the enemy Dolhr empire). Marth’s forces successfully repel the Macedon forces and join forces with Princess Nyna and the forces of Aurelis. Marth’s army becomes known as the Archanean League. Princess Nyna awards Marth with Archanea’s treasured Fire Emblem. Duke Hardin, Nyna’s guardian, also becomes one of Marth’s trusted comrades.
The Archanean League then travels to the kingdom of Archanea but are attacked by Princess Minerva of Macedon, a Dracoknight, and her Whitewings, a knightly order made up of Pegasus Knights. Marth learns that Princess Minerva and Macedon had allied themselves to the Dolhr empire because her sister Princess Maria is being kept prisoner by the Kingdom of Grust (allied to Dolhr). The Archanean League travel to Castle Deil and free Princess Maria, leading to Princess Minerva joining the Archanean League. The Archanean League arrive at the kingdom of Archanea and liberate the kingdom then head to Altea to retake Marth’s home kingdom.
The Archanean League learns from the White Sage Gotoh that in order to defeat Gharnef, he needs 2 orbs—the Lightsphere and the Starsphere. The league set off to find the two orbs at the Fane of Raman, a holy sanctuary built by the divine dragons, but must battle the Sable Order, a cohort of Grustian knights, and their leader Camus. Marth successfully retrieves the 2 orbs and saves Tiki, a dragonkin. The group travels to Macedon where his forces defeat Michalis, brother of Princess Minerva, who continued to side with Dolhr. With the help of Gotoh, the Lightsphere and Starsphere are used to create the Starlight tome. The Archanean League defeat Gharnef utilizing the Starlight tome and retrieve Falchion as well as Princess Elice. With the Falchion in hand, the Archanean League defeat Medeus in the Dolhr Keep.
With the war over, at the advice of Nyna, Marth proposes to Caeda, and the two became engaged. Nyna marries Hardin, who becomes Archanea's next king, yet secretly in her heart she still wept for Camus.

New Mystery of the Emblem (2010)
A sequel to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and is a remake of the Japan-Only Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem which was a sequel to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. The game features updated graphics, gameplay mechanics, additional background music, several new characters, items, and plot devices.
Following the events of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Hardin, former Prince of Aurelis, and ally to Marth during the War of Shadows, had ascended to the position of Emperor of Archanea after marrying Princess Nyna.
One year later, Prince Marth and Princess Caeda’s engagement has been announced however Marth is requested by Emperor Hardin to quell a rebellion in Grust. Marth soon realizes that something is not right as Hardin's military begins to occupy neighboring countries by force, and Marth and his army are ordered to conquer smaller nations under orders of General Lang who had been sent by Emperor Hardin.
Marth and his forces refuse to listen to Hardin which triggers the start of the War of Heroes. Archanean forces hunt Marth and his allies, branded traitors by Hardin, relentlessly, all the way to the desert of Khadein. Marth discovers the forces of darkness at work again as Lang, Hardin and his forces are corrupted and also learns that the Dragon King Medeus is still alive.
Tracing an old legend of yore, Marth retrieves the Fire Emblem once again (this time from Linde, who was entrusted with it by Princess Nyna) and embarks on a quest to retrieve the 12 Starsphere Shards to revive the shattered Starsphere. Marth learns from Boah that a depressed Hardin was corrupted with the Darksphere by Gharnef in the form of a merchant and that only the Lightsphere can break the Darksphere's hold of Hardin. Assisted by the sage Gotoh, Marth journeys through the icy mountains to obtain the Lightsphere and repairs the Starsphere, required to defeat and free Hardin. With Lightsphere in hand, Marth and his allies stage a final assault on Archanea to liberate Altea, to save Hardin and Elice. Sadly Marth is unable to break the Darksphere's spell without killing Hardin in the process.
With all 5 spheres (Lightsphere, Starsphere, Darksphere, Lifesphere, and Geosphere) obtained, the Fire Emblem transforms into the Binding Shield, allowing Marth and his allies to discover where the new incarnations of Medeus and Gharnef reside. Gharnef again possesses the Falchion, and is again defeated using the Starlight spell. Marth confronts Medeus, who has now taken the form of a Dark Dragon. In the final confrontation, Medeus holds captive princess Nyna, Minerva's younger sister Maria, Julian's crush Lena, and Marth's sister Elice. Sirius (who is Camus in disguise), Merric, Minerva and Julian rescue the healers as Marth slays the Dark Dragon Medeus once and for all.
The 7 kingdoms are unified under Prince Marth of Altea who establishes the United Kingdom of Archanea and a new era of peace. Marth and Caeda finally get married.

The Binding Blade (2002)
A thousand years prior on the continent of Elibe, there was a conflict between humanity and dragons called the Scouring. Begun by humanity, the dragons were defeated and banished from the world. Victory was achieved using the 8 Divine Weapons (the blazing blade Durandal, the thunder axe Armads, the infernal truth Forblaze, the Aureola, the tempest bow Mulagir, the blizzard spear Maltet, the Elder Revelation Apocalypse, and the binding blade Eckesachs).
In current day, King Zephiel, ruler of the kingdom of Bern, invades Ilia and Sacae and sets his sights on Lycia. In a small region called Pherae, Roy, the son of Pherae's ruling marquess Eliwood, is forced to return home when Bern begins its invasion. As Eliwood is unable to battle due to illness, Roy is assigned command of Lycia's army. Roy leads his forces to Ostia, another region of Lycia ruled by Eliwood's friend Hector and his daughter Lilina. He is unable to save Hector from death, but rescues Lilina from Bern's occupation and sees to the protection of Princess Guinivere, Zephiel's sister who opposes his war and has fled Bern with its royal treasure, the Fire Emblem. They also discover a small cave on the outskirts of Ostia where they obtain one of the 7 Divine Weapons Durandal. Over the course of the journey, Roy and the Lycian Army locate the other Divine Weapons.
After being saved by the kingdom of Etruria contacts Roy and assigns his army to travel to the Western Isles, where heavy bandit activity is being reported. Though the Lycian Army repels the bandits, they discover from either a royal-in-hiding named Elffin or a dancer Larum that Etruria's nobility have allied with Bern and are enslaving the people on the Western Isles to work the mines. They also learn that Bern has recruited Manaketes, powerful dragons who hide their might in human forms. To learn more about them, the Lycian Army travels to Arcadia, a hidden city in the vast desert where humans and dragons live in peace, and gain stronger insight from the elders. A child Manakete named Fae also befriends Roy during his stay and tags along with him. Roy and his forces later returns to Etruria and removes the corrupt nobility, allowing the kingdom's rightful rulers to restore order and the Lycian Army to merge with Etruria’s.
The newly reformed Etrurian Army then continues through the snowy tundras of Ilia and its many mercenary groups on Bern's contract and through the plains of Sacae where nomad tribes have allied with Bern which leads to Bern's borders, where Roy discovers a shrine housing the Binding Blade, a powerful weapon that rules over the other eight Divine Weapons. Combined with the Fire Emblem, Roy is granted its incredible power and wields the Binding Blade in the final assault on Bern's capital. Before beginning his march into Bern, Roy beseeches Guinevere to tell him the reason why Zephiel started this war. Guinevere reveals that Zephiel's and her father, King Desmond, was envious of Zephiel's natural ability and charisma. She tells Roy that King Desmond, under the guise of a reconciliatory gesture, poisoned Zephiel's chalice. Zephiel was nursed back to health by his guard, General Murdock, and faked his own death.
When King Desmond stood over Zephiel's open casket during his funeral, Zephiel sprang up, and impaled King Desmond with a sword he had concealed in his coffin. Guinevere tells Roy that King Desmond's betrayal caused her brother to become bitter, and lead to his decision to resurrect the dragons in order to return the world to them.
Zephiel is eventually killed by the Etrurian Army and his Divine Weapon is taken from him. If the player has not collected the eight Divine Weapons, the game ends prematurely at this point. If the player has collected them and they are unbroken, Roy learns that Zephiel ordered his remaining forces to gather elsewhere in Elibe and continue his plans. The Divine Weapons suddenly emit a light that leads the Etrurian Army to this location: an ancient temple that had long ago been built by the dragons.
Once inside, Roy is shown the true history of the Scouring. The dragons, despite their power, were unable to maintain their numbers due to how slowly they reproduced compared to humans. As the war came to a close, the surviving Fire Dragons captured a Divine Dragon named Idunn and sealed away her soul. Enslaved to their will, Idunn reproduced dragons at an incredible rate and became known as the Demon Dragon, but she was defeated by a warrior wielding the Binding Blade. Her power was locked away until Zephiel, disgusted at humanity's failings, released her out of his desire to return Elibe to the dragons. As she has no emotion or free will, Idunn continues to follow Zephiel's orders even after his death and threatens to raise a dragon army that will destroy everything on the continent. On the topmost floor of the temple, the Etrurian Army battles and defeats Idunn and her endlessly spawning dragons with Roy delivering the final blow on Idunn with the Binding Blade and saving her from the crumbing temple. In the war's wake, Elibe begins to rebuild itself. Guinivere is named the new ruler of Bern, while Elffin returns to Etruria after his long absence. Roy and Lilina become the new marquesses of Pherae and Ostia respectively. Idunn is taken to Arcadia to live with Fae while her soul slowly returns to her.

Path of Radiance (2005)
The continent of Tellius is divided into 7 nations that are either governed by beorc (i.e. humans) or laguz, a race of shape-shifters capable of taking on the forms of animals. The continent is said to be the only one to survive a great flood in the distant past.
Ike, the son of Greil, is the newest member of his father's mercenary company, the Greil Mercenaries. The company operates within the borders of Crimea, a nation of beorc that shares its southern border with Gallia, a nation of Beast laguz. Alongside other member of the Greil Mercenaries including Titania, Oscar, and Boyd, Ike embarks on missions to aid locals seeking help to drive away bandits.
One day, Soren the tactician and mage of the Greil Mercenaries arrives with news that the neighboring beorc nation, Daein has invaded Crimea which leads to the events known as the Mad King's War. After the Crimean capital falls to the invasion, Ike comes across an unconscious woman in a forest that turns out to be the Crimean princess, Elincia Ridell Crimea, whose escort party had fallen in their bid to take her to the allied nation of Gallia. The group learns that all other Crimean royalty has likely been killed by Daein forces.
The Daein forces seek to capture Princess Elincia and begin to attack the Greil Mercenaries leading Greil to lead the mercenaries out of Crimea and towards Gallia. Along the way, the Greil Mercenaries are pursued by Petrine and The Black Knight, who are both members of the Four Riders of Daein along with Bertram and Bryce.
The Black Knight eventually catches up to the group in the middle of the night where he battles Greil alone in the forest. Greil is mortally wounded by the Black Knight with Ike only being able to watch. With Greil’s final breath, he appoints Ike the new leader of the Greil Mercenaries and reminds him to take care of his younger sister Mist and the Lehran Medallion that she carries. The group successfully arrives in Gallia where they meet with the Beast King Caineghis who describes the political climate between the different nations as well as between beorc and laguz.
The Greil Mercenaries decide to escort Princess Elincia to the nation of Begnion to seek their aid against Daein. During the journey to Begnion, the Greil Mercenaries encounter the dragon laguz of Goldoa led by Dheginsea, the hawk laguz of Phoenicis led by Tibarn, and the raven laguz of Kilvas led by Naesala. Ike learns of the long-held racial tensions between the beorc and laguz.
The Greil Mercenaries reach Begnion and the Greil Mercenaries are tasked by the Begnion apostle Sanaki to help re-establish relations between Begnion and the few remaining members of the heron laguz clan led by Prince Reyson, which was annihilated in an act of genocide known as the Serenes Massacre. The Greil Mercenaries successfully save Prince Reyson and his sister Princess Leanne from corrupt members of the Begnion and succeed in re-establishing relations between Begnion and the heron laguz. With this accomplishment, Ike is named a lord and given command of a patchwork army known as the Crimean Army.
The newly appointed Lord Ike leads his army into Daein. In the Daein Keep, the Crimean Army defeat one of Ashnard’s tacticians Ena, a dragon laguz, who is revealed to be Nasir’s granddaughter. They learn that Along the way, Ike learns about his father’s past from thief/assassin Volke who used to work for Greil. Greil used to be known as Gawain and was one of the Four Riders of Daein. He fled Daein with his wife Elena who was entrusted with Lehran’s Medallion by the heron Lillia to give the medallion to someone named Altina and teach them a special song. According to legend, Lehran’s Medallion (also known as the Fire Emblem) contained a sealed dark god. However before Greil and Elena are able to complete the task, Greil had accidentally touched the medallion and was blinded by rage, resulting in the death of Elena. It is revealed that Mist is one of the few people able to hold the medallion without being corrupted by it.
Ike learns that King Ashnard is occupying Crimea and leads the Crimean Army back to Crimea. Along the way, the Crimean Army defeat Petrine as well as join forces with the beast laguz and the escort party of Elincia. Ike eventually returns to Greil’s grave to recover the weapon Ragnell which is the only weapon able to harm the Black Knight. The Crimean Army defeat the remaining Four Riders of Daein including the Black Knight before confronting King Ashnard in Crimea where he reveals his ultimate plan; he has been seeking to free the dark god trapped in Lehran’s Medallion. He was the one who kidnapped Princess Lillia during the Serenes Massacre however was not aware that the only one who can open the medallion is Altina and the secret song. As a result, he instigated war and chaos by invading Crimean in an attempt to release the medallion without Altina or the song. After King Ashnard is defeated initially, he uses the Fire Emblem to increase his strength however Ike and the Crimean Army is able to defeat him.

Radiant Dawn (2008)
A sequel to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
3 years after the Mad King's War, Daein, the war's instigator and eventual loser, and the victorious nation Crimea are still in the process of rebuilding. Although Crimea is ruled by Queen Elincia, Daein lacks a proper successor and is instead ruled by the corrupt and oppressive occupation forces of the Begnion Empire. A group of Daein rebels named the Dawn Brigade, headed by Micaiah and Sothe, act as vigilantes to provide some measure of hope against the oppressors.
After being driven from the capital, the Dawn Brigade flees into the northern desert where they encounter the heron prince Rafiel and the wolf laguz queen Nailah whose people have not been seen in Tellius for millennia. Soon after, the Dawn Brigade locates and allies with the late King Ashnard's orphan son Pelleas, his scheming and ruthless adviser Izuka, and the former general of Daein known as the Black Knight. The group launches a guerrilla war against the occupying Begnion army, liberating former soldiers of Daein from prison camps and gaining the loyalty of the people. Micaiah's efforts become legendary during these campaigns, with the people of Daein dubbing her the Silver-Haired Maiden. Word of the plight of the Daein people eventually reaches Empress Sanaki of Begnion, who sends her trusted advisor Sephiran to Daein to reign in the occupation army. The senate disavows and scapegoats occupation leader General Jarod, who is overthrown and killed by the liberation army in an assault on the capital. Unbeknownst to them all, Izuka tricks Pelleas into signing a contract known as a blood pact with the head of the Begnion senate, Lekain, which will trigger if Pelleas rebels against Begnion and will kill increasingly large numbers of Daein citizens.
Word of Pelleas' ascension reaches Crimea, and Queen Elincia's recognition of Pelleas as Daein's rightful ruler outrages the Crimean nobility. Fear that Crimea's hated enemy is rebuilding creates discontent throughout all levels of Crimean society. A Crimean noble named Ludveck takes advantage of the tension to organize a rebellion in order to claim Crimea for himself. Alerted to Ludveck's plan, the Crimean Royal Knights attack and capture Ludveck's castle. However, this is a diversion, and Ludveck's troops attack Elincia at Fort Alpea, but they are repelled and Ludveck is captured. He attempts to force Elincia to release him by holding her friend Lucia hostage, but she is rescued by Ike and the Greil Mercenaries. Before Ike leaves, Elincia reveals the Black Knight's return in Daein.
When Ike returns to his headquarters, he is hired by the Laguz Alliance, consisting of the hawk nation of Phoenicis, the raven nation of Kilvas, and the beast nation of Gallia. Their representative, Ranulf, explains that Rafiel has revealed that the Begnion senate was responsible for assassinating the previous apostle of Begnion and framing the heron clans for it, resulting in their near annihilation. This has led to the Laguz Alliance declaring war on Begnion. Ike leads the Alliance into battle against the Begnion forces, commanded by the veteran general Zelgius. The situation quickly escalates, threatening to become a world war that will awaken the god of chaos Yune from Lehran’s Medallion (also known as the Fire Emblem) who will supposedly destroy the world. Begnion coerces Daein into joining the war on their side with the blood pact and uses another blood pact to force Kilvas to betray the Laguz Alliance. Pelleas asks Micaiah to kill him to free Daein from the blood pact, but even if she does, it simply results in the blood pact transferring to her. Nailah and Prince Kurthnaga of the dragon nation of Goldoa learn of Daein's plight and also side with them. Meanwhile, Begnion begins raiding Crimean villages for supplies, drawing Crimea into the conflict on the Laguz Alliance's side, and Empress Sanaki escapes the senate's clutches and joins the Alliance along with the faction of Begnion soldiers loyal to her. A massive battle ensues, and the chaos begins to awaken Yune; Micaiah is forced to prematurely awaken her with the galdr of release. Yune's awakening also awakens the goddess of order Ashera.
As punishment for bringing the world into chaos, Ashera subsequently petrifies Tellius; only the most powerful warriors and human-laguz half-breeds survive. She decides that humankind is unworthy of survival and must be eradicated, and recruits the Begnion senate to this end. Guided by Yune, who sides with humanity, Ike, Micaiah, and King Tibarn of Pheonicis lead three groups in an assault on the Tower of Guidance where Ashera lies. Their journey brings about several revelations about the world and the previous conflicts. Ranulf reveals that the Black Knight's true identity is Zelgius; Izuka reveals that Pelleus was not Ashnard's son, but an unwitting dupe used to place Daein further under Begnion's thumb; Yune reveals that the old claim that human-laguz half-breeds are a crime against the goddess and the subsequent persecution against them are based on a lie.
In the Tower of Guidance, the group kills the corrupt Begnion senators and frees Daein and Kilvas from the blood pacts while Ike defeats Zelgius the Black Knight in a duel to the death. At the entrance to Ashera's chambers, the group encounters Sephiran, who reveals himself to be the ancient heron Lehran. Sephiran admits that the massacre of the heron clans destroyed his faith in humanity, and that he has since engineered both the Mad King's War and the Laguz-Begnion conflict in order to destroy the world. After sparing Lehran and redeeming him, Yune empowers Ike with godlike power, and he defeats Ashera and restores peace to Tellius.
In the aftermath, Micaiah learns that she is Sanaki's long-lost and presumed-dead older sister, but leaves to take the throne of Daein with the approval of Pelleas and the Daein citizenry. Ike departs the continent and is never seen again. Hundreds of years later, Yune and Ashera combine to again become the goddess Ashunera, creator of Tellius. Lehran greets Ashunera and reveals that the continent is once again about to go to war, and Ashunera resolves to protect the people.

Awakening (2012)
Approximately 1000 years after the events of Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, a descendant of Marth is blessed by the Divine Dragon Naga and stops the rise of the Fell Dragon Grima using Falchion and the Fire Emblem. Grima is sent into a long slumber. This descendant would be known as the First Exalt and would found the Halidom of Ylisse (previous Archanea). His descendants possess the Brand of Naga on their bodies. The land of Ylisse is divided into 3 countries: the Halidom of Ylisse, the kingdom of Plegia, and Regna Ferox.
Awakening takes place approximately 1000 years after Grima was defeated and sent into a long slumber by the First Exalt. Fifteen years prior to present day, the last Exalt of Ylisse, waged a religious war against Plegia, which greatly damaged both countries and left bitterness on both sides. Ylisse has slowly recovered from the war thanks to Emmeryn's peaceful actions.
After dreaming of killing an ally named Chrom, an amnesiac Robin awakens in a field, where Chrom and members of his personal army, the Shepherds, which include Chrom’s sister Lissa and knight Frederick, find and take him in. Robin joins the Shepherds after exhibiting the qualities of a tactician when they defend a nearby town from Plegian bandits. While returning back to the Halidom of Ylisse, the Shepherds battle undead beings called the Risen which appear from a portal and are aided by a masked man calling himself “Marth”.
Upon returning home, the Shepherds meet with Queen Emmeryn who is Chrom and Lissa’s older sister. Reports of suspicious activity from neighboring kingdom Plegia prompt Emmeryn to send the Shepherds north to Regna Ferox to unite their forces. The Shepherds meet with the East Khan of Regna Ferox Flavia and West Khan of Ragna Ferox Basilio who agree to join their forces with the Shepherds. After a confrontation between Plegia and the Shepherds, Validar and his minions almost kill Emmeryn. However, the assassination plot is foiled with aid from "Marth", who has prior knowledge of the event and is revealed to be a woman.
Soon after, Plegian forces capture Emmeryn as she goes to parley with Plegia’s ruler King Gangrel who demands the Fire Emblem in exchange for her life. Though Chrom almost accepts Gangrel's terms, Emmeryn stops him by throwing herself over a cliff, becoming a martyr to both Ylisse and Plegia. Eventually, the Shepherds triumph over Plegia, defeating Gangrel and restoring peace to the continent.
Two years after Gangrel's defeat, Chrom inherits the throne of Ylisse, marries pegasus knight Sumia, and fathers a newborn daughter named Lucina. He leads the Shepherds again when Emperor Walhart of Valm threatens to invade Ylisse, and during the campaign "Marth" returns and reveals to Chrom that she is actually Lucina. She explains that she hails from an alternate timeline in a future where Grima has been resurrected, and she used a time traveling spell that Naga devised to return to the past and prevent the events leading to her future. To combat Grima, Chrom must perform the "Awakening", a ritual that grants him Naga's power, by combining the Fire Emblem with 5 magical gems (Argent, Azure, Vert, Sable, and Gules) divided among the nations. Lucina explains that her other friends also traveled from the alternate timeline but they were all split up. These include: Owain (child of Lissa), Morgan (child of Robin), Kjelle (child of Sully), Laurent (child of Miriel), Brady (child of Maribelle), Yarne (child of Panne), Severa (child of Cordella), Nah (child of Nowi), Cynthia (child of Sumia), Inigo (child of Olivia), Gerome (child of Cherche), and Noire (child of Tharja) who can be encountered in various Paralogue chapters.
Chrom and his Shepherds then war against Valm. After taking control of a Valm port and saving Say'ri, they head for the Mila Tree and save Tiki, Naga's voice and one of the few remaining Divine Dragons. Tiki mentions that in order to prevent Grima's awakening, they will need to perform the awakening on Mount Prism with the completed Fire Emblem. Chrom manages to free the south from Yen'fay's side of the Valm army. Chrom then gathers his troops and they fight against Walhart twice, finally defeating the conqueror and bringing a temporary peace back to the world.
During and after the war in Valm, the Shepherds manage to retrieve 4 of the gemstones, but Validar, the new king of Plegia and who is revealed to be Robin's father, ambushes them after offering them the last gemstone. Validar takes control of Robin and steals the Fire Emblem from Chrom, and reveals that Robin was born as the ideal vessel for Grima. Lucina realizes that Grima used Robin to kill Chrom in her timeline, and attempts to execute him however Chrom forces her to stand down, remaining confident that Robin can overcome Grima's control. The Shepherds manage to track down Validar, who uses Robin to attack Chrom, mirroring the events of Robin’s premonition of killing Chrom. However, Robin uses his foreknowledge to prevent Chrom's death, allowing the Shepherds to kill Validar and recover the Fire Emblem.
A possessed Robin from Lucina's future appears, revealing that the present timeline Robin's amnesia was caused by Grima's unsuccessful attempt to possess him. The future Robin then uses the power gathered for Grima's resurrection to restore his dragon form. Chrom performs the Awakening and summons Naga, who reveals that although he now has the power to stop Grima, she only has enough power to put him to sleep for another thousand years. She tells him that the only way to truly destroy Grima is to have Robin kill him, which would result in Robin's death as well. She adds that Robin may survive if his bond with Chrom and the Shepherds is strong enough.
In the final battle, the Shepherds manage to weaken Grima and Chrom, who is opposed to the Robin’s sacrifice, offers to deliver the final blow. Robin decides to deal the final blow, resulting in both him and Grima death. Despite this, Chrom and the Shepherds refuse to believe that Robin is dead, and vow to find him and bring him home.
In a post-credits scene, Robin awakens in a field, where Chrom and Lissa find him and welcome him home.
The Future Past DLC
Chrom and the Shepherds are summoned to an Outrealm by Naga to save a world on the brink of demise. In this world, the fell dragon Grima has been revived and 12 valiant children led by a princess seek to defeat it by performing the Awakening. Four of them obtain Gules and Azure, four more Argent and Sable, and three Vert and the Fire Emblem, but all of the children perish.
Seeking to avert this cruel destiny, Naga sends the Shepherds to help Noire, Nah, Cynthia, and Kjelle who have obtained Gules and Azure as well as Brady, Yarne, Inigo, and Owain who have recovered Argent and Sable. Both groups of children embark to return to Ylisstol Castle.
In the ruined alternate version of Ylisstol Castle, Lucina is worried about her armies' losses and hopes that her friends will return soon. Tiki arrives from Mount Prism, which has fallen to the Risen. Upon hearing that the other children have gone to Plegia, she realizes that Lucina intends to perform the Awakening. Tiki affirms Lucina's decision to remain in the capital and tells her to have faith in her friends. Suddenly, a hooded figure appears and attacks Lucina, but Tiki takes the blow and urges Lucina to run, collapsing. Lucina thinks to find help, but Tiki is resigned to her death; she attempts to encourage Lucina, as she can see the other children have been successful in their mission and Lucina can save the world by performing the Awakening rite, before succumbing to her wound.
Later, Severa, Laurent, and Gerome return to Lucina and give her Vert and the Fire Emblem. Lucina informs them that Tiki has died; in spite of this, they resolve to travel to Mount Prism and perform the Awakening rite once the other children return. Grima then appears and threatens to kill them if they do not hand over Vert and the Fire Emblem, though they refuse. Grima attacks Lucina, but Severa, Laurent, and Gerome stop them; they encourage Lucina to flee to Mount Prism, but she is distraught about leaving more of her friends behind. The Shepherds then arrive to aid Lucina and defeat Grima.
After the battle, Robin takes control of Grima to prevent them from killing Lucina or the Shepherds, then sends the Shepherds back to their realm. In their native world, Chrom meets Naga and they both meet the spirit of Tiki, who assures them that the Outrealm will survive before disappearing; Naga deduces that this means the Outrealm has been saved, and thanks the Shepherds. In the Outrealm, Grima is rid of Robin's influence and again attacks Lucina, but is stopped when Cynthia, Noire, Nah, Kjelle, Inigo, Owain, Brady, and Yarne return with the remaining gemstones. Grima brags that the Awakening cannot be performed, as Naga is dead; however, the spirit of Tiki returns with the power of Naga. Tiki explains that the presence of Risen at Mount Prism has driven Naga's power from there, and that it has been redirected into Tiki's body, which is with them in Ylisstol. Tiki and Naga then perform the Awakening and kill Grima. Tiki congratulates the children on bringing peace to Ylisse, but having Naga's power means she must isolate herself from mortals, and her spirit fades. The children then celebrate the first night of peace on Ylisse.
Around one year later, the children gather in Ylisstol, having reformed the Shepherds. They discuss their lives in peace time as they arrive: Noire has been making charms, Kjelle and Owain have been training recruits, Yarne has been followed by conservationists, Nah has been worshipped as the new Voice of Naga, Gerome has been conserving wyverns, and Brady has been playing violin for Inigo's dancing. As they start their meeting, Lucina arrives—accompanied by the reformed pegasus knights lead by Cynthia and Severa—to see her old friends. Before the meeting progresses, Minerva notices some Risen, and the Shepherds and Cynthia rush to defeat them. Severa prepares to return to the castle, and Lucina thanks her father in spirit for the peace he enabled.

Fates (2015)
Fates was released in 3 versions, each following a different storyline centered on the same characters: Birthright and Conquest as physical releases, and Revelation as downloadable content. A special edition, containing all three storylines and an art book, was made available in both regions alongside the initial physical releases.
Long ago, 12 powerful dragons waged war on each other to determine who would control the world. One of the Dragons, the Rainbow Sage, forged 5 legendary weapons as a means to fight them. Humanity was selected to wield these weapons, plunging them into the Dragons' war. It is said that the royalty of the kingdoms of Hoshido, Nohr, and Valla all acquired their Dragon Vein ability thanks to their ancient lineage to the Dawn Dragon, Dusk Dragon, and Anankos the Silent Dragon, respectively.
In modern times, the kingdom of Hoshido and Nohr are at war with one another. Corrin grows up as a princess of Nohr along with her Nohrian siblings: eldest son Xander, 2nd eldest son Leo, eldest daughter Camilla, and youngest daughter Elise. After coming of age, Corrin is sent by King Garon to inspect a Hoshidan fortress above the Bottomless Canyon. However, one of Garon's men, Hans, provokes a battle with the Hoshidans and throws Corrin's mentor Gunter into the canyon. Corrin is found and captured by Hoshidan soldiers, who recognizes her as a long-lost member of the Hoshidan royal family. Corrin is brought to meet her family at the capital city including Queen Mikoto, eldest son Ryoma, 2nd eldest son Takumi, eldest daughter Hinoka, and youngest daughter Sakura. They reveal that Corrin was kidnapped by Nohr many years ago however Corrin does not remember and is unsure of who is her real family. Corrin also meets the singer Azura, a member of the Nohrian royal family who was kidnapped by the kingdom of Hoshido as part of their efforts to rescue Corrin.
Suddenly, soldiers attack the city and a hooded assassin attempts to kill Corrin. Mikoto shields her at the cost of her life. An angered Corrin loses control and unlocks her unique ability to transform into a dragon. In the aftermath, Corrin comes into possession of a legendary sword called Yato, said to belong to the one who will save the world and uncovers her lost memories. Several years prior to the events of Fire Emblem: Fates, Hoshido's King Sumeragi is ambushed by Nohr's King Garon during a fake peace treaty talk between the nations and is killed. King Garon kidnaps Sumeragi's young child, Corrin, and decides to raise her to serve his purposes.
In retaliation for Mikoto’s death, the Hoshidans encounter the Nohrians in a battle where Corrin's two families meet and Corrin is forced to choose between siding with Hoshido and Nohr.

REVELATION
Corrin rejects both Hoshido and Nohr, and is denounced as a traitor by both. She flees with Azura through the Bottomless Canyon to the kingdom of Valla, where they find Gunter still alive. Azura reveals that the true manipulator of the war between Hoshido and Nohr is a dragon named Anankos who appears to be controlling King Garon. She reveals that she is the daughter of Valla's last king and Anankos created a curse that kills any who reveal Valla's existence outside its borders. To defeat Anankos, the two travel through Hoshido and Nohr, gradually gaining the trust and allegiance of each royal family, before a natural event seals Valla from the outside world. Corrinalso learn that the Yato is the "Seal of Flames", which when combined with the other families' Legendary Weapons (the katana Raijinto wielded by Ryoma, the bow Fujin Yumi wielded by Takumi, the sword Siegfried wielded by Xander, and the tome Brynhildr wielded by Leo) will become the Fire Emblem, capable of killing Anankos.
The united force travels to Valla, facing an army formed from the undead and controlled by Anankos including Mikoto, Azura's mother Arete, and Sumeragi, the latter revealed to be Mikoto's assassin. During her battle with Mikoto, Corrin learns that her and Azura are maternal cousins, making Corrin an heir to Valla's throne. The group is eventually betrayed by Gunter, who was possessed by Anankos since first coming to Valla, but Corrin succeeds in freeing Gunter from Anankos' control. Upon reaching Anankos, Corrin unlocks the Fire Emblem's power and transforms the Yato into the Omega Yato. Despite summoning and eating the imposter Garon to regain his strength, Anankos is killed.
In the aftermath, Valla is reestablished on the surface, Azura crowns Corrin its new ruler, and an everlasting peace is established between the three kingdoms.
Hidden Truths DLC
t is revealed that Anankos was formerly a kind dragon who gave wisdom to humanity, but his growing power and inability to ascend to the spirit realm with the world's other dragons began corrupting him. After he killed Valla's king in an uncontrolled fit of bestial rage, he finally went mad: his remaining sanity and kindness took temporary shelter in a human form and fathered Corrin before dying, while his dragon self began an insane crusade to destroy humanity.
